Creepy Pokedex entry: Frillish
With its thin, veil-like arms wrapped around the body of its opponent, it sinks to the ocean floor.
They paralyze prey with poison, then drag them down to their lairs, five miles below the surface.
If its veil-like arms stun and wrap a foe, that foe will be dragged miles below the surface, never to return.
The storm was getting worse, the Captain thought as he stared out of his cabin window.
The sea was thrashing like a wild Ursaring, trying to kill its prey.
Thunder and lightning crashed, like Zapdos himself was trying to sink the ship. It was only a small one, by the name of ‘Tidal Ocean’. And the crew, even smaller.
The Captain, his First Mate, the driver of the boat, and a man who knew star constellations like the back of his hand. They were out of a voyage, for the star man, because he had found a way to the Lost Island by looking at a hidden path in the stars.
The captain was about to drift off to sleep, when he heard screams from the three men outside in the storm.
He rushed out, about to shout at them for disturbing him, but stopped in his tracks when he saw the two creatures, one pink, the other blue, grabbing the driver and his first mate with their veil-like arms.
He ran forward, wielding his sword, ready to attack the creatures. He never got the chance.
The creatures spat a strange, purple substance at him, and the captain just barely dodged it.
Once he looked up, the creatures, along with his two men, were gone.
The Captain turned to the star man.
“What happened to them?” He asked in a ruff voice.
“I…They got…bitten by those….things! They stopped moving, and the things….took them underwater!” The star man sounded panicked.
The Captain said nothing for a while. He was about to, when the boat suddenly rocked violently.
Two other creatures climbed on board. They looked like the last two, but the Captain knew they were not the same ones.
The things hissed, and both launched themselves at the Captain and the star man.
The Captain jumped out of the way, and slashed the blue one with his sword. The star man wasn’t as lucky, he was grabbed like the other men, and bitten by the pink one, and he immediately stopped moving. The Captain could tell he was still alive, but he was paralysed.
The pink one dragged the star man overboard, leaving the Captain alone with the blue thing. He glared at it, and it glared right back.
There was a splashing sound, and the first two were back, surrounding the Captain on all of his sides with the second blue thing.
They spat the purple substance at him, and he fell to the ground, unable to move.
The three creatures closed in on him, and the Captain heard one last thing before he was torn apart.
